概要：医療人類学は、精神医療を文化的・歴史的分脈の中で捉えながら、「ケア」や「関係性」の意味を見つめ直してきました。本シンポジウムでは、医療人類学・文化精神医学の先導者、アーサー・クライマン先生をお迎えし、Care of the Elderly: Lessons Learned from Collaborative Cross-Cultural Interdisciplinary Research in China と題してご講演いただきます。また、これらの領域の世界的権威であられるローレンス・J・カーマイヤー先生をお招きし、Toward a Poetics of Illness Experienceと題してご講演いただきます。認知症研究を主題としたセッションでは、韓国医療人類学会会長のクワンウク・キム先生、東京大学の井口高志先生、日本医療政策機構の乗竹亮治先生、慶應義塾大学の北中淳子が登壇し、研究発表とディスカッションを行います。若手研究者による発表セッションも予定しております。コメンテイターには、デンマークの精神科医ジェシカ・ローマン先生、シャーロット・ゾンネ先生と世界社会精神医学会会長ヴィンチェンツォ・ディ・二コラ先生をお迎えします。
